Spread the love

By David Jordan Jr

June is Black Music Month and to celebrate we are going to give you a few musical gems that should be in your collection. In most cases when a list is made of the essential albums or the must have albums for anybody’s musical collection, the same albums are always listed. The ground breaking, monumental albums that are forever classic almost always end up on the “must have” list; but what about the other albums? The albums which are just as timeless, just as great, but for some reason aren’t as talked about as the major albums. Many artists have put out albums that are just as good, if not better than their career defining album; timing just so happened to stifle the impact other albums had on the listeners at the time of the release. We have put together a list of 19 must have albums (not ranked in any particular order)  that you might have slept on.
