The late summer of the year 2000 would see the release of the Spike Lee directed film “The Original Kings Of Comedy.” Starring Bernice Mac, Cedric The Entertainer, Steve Harvey and D.L. Hughley, the film showcased the last two performances of the nationwide tour.
Cedric The Entertainer, a veteran comedian at the time of the release of the film, had starred in various television shows and movies showcasing his comedic talent. Cedric talked to ESHE about the tour and how the energy from the crowds enabled each of the comedians to take their performance to the highest level.
