Comedian Joe Torry career has span across the decades and has enabled him to work alongside some of the greatest comics ever to pick up a microphone. 
Early in Torry’s career, he had the opportunity to work with the late Robin Harris in the 1990 film “House Party.” In addition to Torry and Robin Harris, the film would also feature the late John Witherspoon, Martin Lawrence, and Tisha Campbell to add timeless laughter to the film. Harris would die from a heart attack on March 18th 1990 but the seeds he planted in the world of comedy would live on through Joe Torry, Martin Lawrence and many other comedians that would launch their careers through Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam.
Torry spoke to ESHE about the impact Robin Harris had on his life and the impact he had on the comedians that would come after him.
