Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III entered the National Football League in 2012 with much acclaim, as he was drafted number two overall by the then Washington Redskins. Embodying the totality of the term student athlete (Griffin graduated with a 3.67 grade point average) the electrifying quarterback from Baylor University finished his decorated college career by winning various player of the year awards and by graduating with his degree in political science. Griffin III would embark on one of the greatest rookie seasons in NFL history as he would be named the 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, named to the 2012 PFWA All-Rookie Team and to the 2012 Pro Bowl. The greatness Griffin displayed during his NFL Career can be attributed to the quarterbacks his father and himself loved watching and studying as he began playing the game as a young kid. Griffin spoke to ESHE about the influences of Randall Cunningham, Michael Vick, and John Elway on his play as a quarterback.
