The Dr. Richard Barnett Foundation held its 2023 Luncheon in Times Square at the Glass House Tavern in Times Square, New York City. The foundation has been an instrumental piece in the education and college preparation for many interscholastic students in the New York area. This year’s luncheon celebrated three scholars with three of the most iconic sports figures in New York history. New York Knicks legends Walt “Clyde” Frazier and Senator Bill Bradley were in attendance along with New York Giants legend and football great Lawrence Taylor. Barnett, Frazier, Bradley, and Taylor were each a part of two championship teams in their respective sports, creating an unmatched legacy in the history of professional sports in The Big Apple.
These four individuals also left an indelible mark on the community as they have all contributed to the youth in the city for over forty years. Legendary WFAN host Bill Daughtry led the panel discussion with the New York legends and the seventy-five attendees.
