The decisive Game 7 took place in Oklahoma City after the Pacers won Game 6 in Indianapolis. Indiana Pacers starting point guard Tyrese Haliburton would leave the game early in the first half after tearing his Achilles tendon. Haliburton had been playing on an injury that was deemed a calf strain for the duration of the series. Oklahoma City Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander capped his MVP Season by being named the Bill Russell Finals MVP as he scored 29 points and added 12 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.
