Naismith Basketball Hall Of Fame inductee and basketball legend Allen Iverson was immortalized in the pantheon of Philadelphia 76ers history with the unveiling of his statue at the 76ers practice facility.
Allen Iverson was drafted by the 76ers number one overall in the 1996 NBA Draft, a class that many regard as the greatest draft class in NBA history. During Iverson’s ten-year career in Philadelphia, he won many awards, including the 1997 NBA Rookie of the Year, 2001 NBA MVP, 2001 NBA All-Star Game MVP and he also led the 76ers to the 2001 NBA Finals.
Iverson was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
