By David Jordan Jr

The new “edutainment” series Linked By Love had a premiere screening at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles, California to celebrate the release of the new series.  The series was created by Mendez National Institute of Transplantation Foundation to provide a pathway of giving important information about kidney disease, kidney failure, transplantation and living donation. The foundation is a public non-profit organization that adheres to its mission of advancing the science and practice of organ transplantation and end-stage organ disease therapies through research, education, and innovation.

The series was created by Nicole Mendez while the screenplay was written by Nicole J. Butler and produced by Celtino Entertainment Group. Linked By Love uses researched statistical information, humor, and an educational twist to deliver an important message about the importance of kidney health and overall well-being. The series stars Michelle N. Carter, Byron Marc Newsome, Shirley Jordan, Gordon James, Jr.and Kiana Nicole Washington.

A six-episode series, the screening presented attendees with the opportunity to see two of the episodes. The dynamic of family, the day-to-day nuances of life, coupled with the everyday factors of health and well-being, allow the viewer to internally connect with each character and be able to understand fully what is being presented on the big screen. Linked by Love will be available online worldwide for all to view at www.LinkedbyLovetv.org
