The power of the pen, the depth of the mind, and the spirit of her soul have provided her a platform through the means of spoken word and literature to create soundtracks and published pieces that have touched people in unique ways.

As an educator, Kim has written books and led and collaborated with other creatives to conduct workshops that have placed an emphasis on different aspects of real life, from education to bullying, artistic creativity, drug use, incarceration, and the importance of positivity in everyday life. Her latest release “Hip-Hop City – Where Every Beat Tells A Story,” is a children’s rhyme book that introduces young readers to the five essential elements of hip hop, which are MCing, DJing, breakdacning, graffiti art and beatboxing. This book also takes a dive into hip-hop fashion.
As a woman that was born and raised in the birthplace of hip-hop, Kim’s life journey has uniquely encapsulated the heart of her borough, while also paving a pathway for her mark to be made across the world.
