Los Angeles Sparks Honor Legend Delisha Milton-Jones with Jersey Retirement

Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles Sparks, a cornerstone franchise of the WNBA since its inception, proudly celebrated the extraordinary career of legendary forward Delisha Milton-Jones by retiring her number 8 jersey during a special halftime ceremony at Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as The Staples Center. Milton-Jones was selected as the 4th overall pick in the 1999 WNBA Draft by the Sparks and made a significant impact on the league throughout her first six years, from 1999 to 2004, alongside the Naismith Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie.

During her tenure with the Sparks, she left an everlasting legacy, highlighted by back-to-back WNBA championships in 2001 and 2002.

Furthermore, she stands fourth in points (4,018), field goals (1,509), rebounds (1,882), steals (440), and minutes played (10,384). Milton-Jones joined other Sparks legends, including Lisa Leslie, Penny Toler, and Candace Parker, in having her jersey retired, solidifying her place among the greats of the franchise.
